After winning back-to-back titles in 2014 and 2015, Goose Island is set to become the first craft brewer to win a record number of bottles of its beer.
Goose Island announced on Monday that it has won the number of barrels (bottles) of its namesake duckhorn ale, as well as the number and types of wineries that it owns.
Goose has now won the previous record of 956 barrels, set by New Belgium Brewing in 2016.
Goose’s win was announced at a press conference held at Goose Island in downtown Los Angeles.
The brewery is currently the first to win the number 1 spot in the US Craft Brewers Association (USCBA) annual craft brewing survey.
According to Goose, the win is a direct result of the company’s leadership in building a robust network of brewers across the US and around the world.
“With a network of more than 100 independent breweries and a global footprint of more that a dozen countries, Goose is a leader in the craft beer space and is recognized as a leader of the craft industry,” said Greg Smith, Goose’s CEO.
“It is important to note that this win comes at a time when craft brewing is experiencing unprecedented growth and growth in terms of the number, types, and locations of winery licenses and breweries.”
The win for Goose Island follows in the footsteps of a similar win in 2017 for Blue Point Brewing Co., and the 2017 and 2018 win for Elysian Brewing Co. According a spokesperson for Goose, that win was made possible by the strong support from the California craft beer community.
“In 2017, the craft community gave Goose Island an opportunity to win its first craft win, and this year it continues to be a leader,” said Adam Tompkins, Goose Brewmaster.
“Thanks to the hard work of its owners, brewers, and distributors, Goose has been able to grow and win consistently at the highest level in the industry.”
Goose Island has been brewing for more than 40 years, and has been in the news for many years.
In 2013, it opened a brewery in California, and in 2016 it opened its first location in Chicago.
In 2016, Goose started distributing to a number of different states, including New York, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.
Goose is currently located in California’s Silicon Valley, which is home to a variety of tech giants, including Google, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft, and Airbnb.
The craft beer industry is in the midst of a boom.
According the latest data from the Brewers Association, craft beer consumption in the United States is at an all-time high.
The number of craft breweries in the country is growing, with more than 8,500 breweries, more than double the number from 2016.
The average craft brewery in the U.S. today is making over $1.2 million, according to the Brewers association.
The latest figures show that more than 90 percent of the world’s craft breweries have a global presence, with craft brewers accounting for more of the global craft beer market than any other industry.
