Wine and spirits were the big winners at the 2018 World Wine and Spirits Championships, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t many other styles to keep an eye out for.
Here’s a look at the winners and losers.
Flat-bottomed bottles of wines were the biggest winners of the competition, winning $1 million.
In addition, the winner of the biggest win at the championships, a flat-bottled bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon, took home $1.2 million.

Flats and wines from France were also a big winner, taking home $2.3 million.
These include Burgundy, Merlot, and Pinot Noir, as well as sparkling wines from the likes of Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay.
