A woman who was forced to abort her first child because she could not afford a second has said she is ready to “get back on top” of her life.
Natasha Williams, 31, was forced by her husband to abort their son Liam in October 2016 after he became seriously ill.
She had hoped to have another child but miscarried in February 2017.
Now, she has a second child with her husband.
Ms Williams told the BBC: “I know I’ll be back on the right track and hopefully the next couple of years will bring me a little bit more happiness.”
I want to be able to have a baby, to have my baby with my family and I want to feel secure and I’ve always wanted to have more kids.
“And now it feels like I’ve got to make a choice – to keep it or not keep it.”
There’s no doubt in my mind I want the best for Liam, and that’s why I decided to have the second baby.
“If I have to do it over again, I wouldn’t change it.
It was hard to come to terms with the decision, and I didn’t want to get in any kind of fight with my son and then make the same decision again.””
The only thing that is really holding me back is my own feelings.”
