A week after he posted a video of himself drinking malbec beer, Earl Stevens is being criticized by the media and by the public for what he did.
In the video posted Thursday, Stevenson can be seen drinking Malbec in the same location as a pair of sunglasses.
The video quickly became a viral sensation and was viewed more than 1 million times on YouTube.
Stevenson has since deleted the video, which has since been deleted.
But the video still has more than 30 million views on YouTube, making it the most viewed video on the popular website.
“He’s just trying to do something positive,” Stevensen said of his beer taste.
“I don’t know what it is.”
Stevens’ story has drawn the attention of several people and media outlets, and his wife has joined in the criticism.
Steinberg posted the video on Instagram Thursday afternoon, explaining the beer was a special malbec he picked up for his son and that he’d “made it myself.”
Steinbans brand name is a reference to his father’s grandfather, who was the second president of Malbec Vineyards, which he purchased from his father in 2008.
The Vineyard’s website states that Stevenshs Malbec is a “truly unique malbec that reflects his father and grandfather’s great taste in Malbec wine.”
“It is a wine of the moment and will be in the top ten Malbec vintages for years to come,” the website states.
But the video has also been met with criticism.
On Twitter, many are asking whether Steven’s taste is a result of a viral video and malbec-loving parents.
Others have asked if Steven has actually been drinking malbac wines or if he’s just drinking a bottle of Malbac brand beer.
“I thought it was a little odd to see Earl drinking a malbec in front of my son,” tweeted @billychang.
Steins wife, Jill, tweeted that her husband’s tastes were influenced by Malbec’s “toxic” taste.
“The Malbec bottle he drank today is just like any other malbec bottle.
It’s toxic,” she tweeted.”
You cannot tell me Earl was drinking malbons malbec.
If you do, then you should not be a part of our family.
We are family.”
Steves’ Malbec brand beer has also attracted criticism from some, with many wondering whether he should be allowed to sell it.
“It would be very unfortunate if a Malbec drinker, with no apparent history of drinking Malbons brand malbec, was able to sell his malbec brand as a Malbon,” tweeted the National Federation of Malbons.
“We can only assume the malbec drinkers motives are pure and pure of heart, and not because they have access to a bottle.”
While the video’s video has generated quite a bit of attention, Steves has also faced criticism online, including from a group of people who believe he’s a racist.
In a video posted to YouTube, the group, who call themselves the #Proud Malbec Nation, have called for people to boycott Malbec and demand that he apologize.
“My family has endured decades of discrimination and I do not condone the actions of anyone who seeks to divide our community,” they wrote in a video.
“If you think you have any right to sell Malbec or have purchased a bottle in Malbon, then let them know, this is not for you.”
The group also said they would “bring a civil war to Malbec” if Steves didn’t stop selling Malbec products.
