Crawford’s death is the latest in a string of unexpected deaths for Kim’s, which has been in the news recently due to the passing of Kim and Kim’s son, the actor and model Kim Cattrall.
Kim Cattall was a well-known singer, songwriter, actor, and activist, and he and Kim Crawford were friends.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Kim Crawford had been suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease.
Crawford had a long career, with more than a dozen credits including several Emmy Awards, two Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and an Emmy Award nomination for “Best Actor in a Drama Series.”
Kim Crawford was also the co-founder of the North Carolina chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
Kim’s Bar is a bar owned by Crawford’s brother, the owner, and she is also a partner in the business.
According for ABC News, Kim was found dead at her home in North Carolina.
She had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in January.
Kim Crawford is survived by her sons, Kim Catterall and Jim Crawford, and by their daughter, Kim E. Crawford.
Kim died at age 93.
